Michael Patterson is a speaker, trainer, and author who has been developing individuals to reach their fullest potential since 2000. Mike has over 25 years' experience in the financial industry, including the last 12 working with credit unions. He started his banking career as a teller, and spent the next ten years learning the banking industry and advancing through the branch network. Mike understood the value of training as a participant, and had the opportunity to transition into the training department himself in April 2000. In November 2001, Mike managed the training department of a small community bank and began utilizing needs-based analysis to research and create training content.
In May 2006, Mike became the AVP Employee Engagement and Development for one of the largest credit unions in Pennsylvania, responsible for the training, development, and internal communication for 400 employees. During his tenure, Mike created two dozen courses, created and managed a leadership development program, spearheaded a career path initiative for employees, and was instrumental in the credit union's financial literacy program conducting presentations in local high schools. Mike's involvement with outside organizations grew, and he was a frequent presenter at the Pennsylvania Credit Union League's annual conference Connect!

Mike is also the author of three books; Promotions Are Not Served At The Deli Counter, Sit Stay Succeed: Management Lessons From Man's Best Friends, and The Sales Coach. His articles have been published by AOL Jobs, Training Magazine, the Credit Union Executive Society, and CU Management.
Mike spent 22 seasons as a PIAA wrestling referee, officiating two state championship tournaments.. He spent seven years as a volunteer Big Brother. Mike grew up in suburban Philadelphia, and currently lives in South Carolina with his wife Ann and their daughter Kyleigh.
